Incident Report: Verifi/Visa Alerts Platform-Wide Issue

Issue Detected: Initial reports began to surface regarding disruptions in Verifi/Visa alerts across multiple platforms. Our monitoring systems and customer reports indicated inconsistencies in the receipt and processing of these alerts.

Preliminary Investigation: Chargeblast technical teams initiated an investigation to identify the root cause of the issue. Early findings suggested that the problem was not isolated to Chargeblast but was affecting other platforms as well.

Confirmation of Platform-Wide Issue: After cross-referencing with industry contacts and further investigation, it was confirmed that the issue was platform-wide, affecting all users relying on Verifi/Visa alerts. The problem was identified as originating from Visa/Verifi's systems.

Ongoing Monitoring: Chargeblast continues to monitor the situation closely and remains in constant communication with Visa/Verifi for updates. Affected customers will be notified as soon as more information is available or when the issue is resolved.

Damage Assessment: The impact is estimated to be about 5% of accounts globally enrolled in RDR. There's no pattern among impacted accounts - various acquiring banks and payment processors are affected.

Ongoing Monitoring: A portion of impacted accounts begin receiving RDR alerts, indicating Verifi RDR service is back online. Not all accounts have been confirmed resumed, however first alerts are being received again. No update has been received from Visa staff.
The issue with Verifi/Visa alerts is a platform-wide disruption originating from Visa/Verifi's systems, not specific to Chargeblast. We are actively working with senior staff at Visa/Verifi to resolve the issue and will keep our customers informed throughout the process.
